As an exclusive offshoot of the Diocese of Kumbakonam, KMSSS was founded in November 1973.  Registered under Societies Act of Tamil Nadu Registration Act XXI of 1860, to take on the social responsibilities. 

Aims and Objectives:-
a)      To perform works of charity for those in need irrespective of race, caste, community or creed.

b)      To engage in social service activities aimed at improving the living conditions and general welfare of the poor, particularly farmers  and other working people, as well as poor and indigent persons of whatever occupations, irrespective of race, caste, community or creed.


c)      To work for the integral development of the people, especially the weaker and disadvantaged.
Operational Area:-
  • Parts of Thanjavur, Thiruvarur and the whole of Ariyalur Districts of Tamil Nadu, INDIA.
  • 3793 sq.kms.
  • 15 Panchayat Unions. 
Target Population:-
People Below Poverty Line, oppressed Dalit, women, destitute, children and disabled persons.

Strategy of organization Management:-

General Body

Review progress and Annual report submitted by the Governing Body.  The Secretary, presents before Governing Body Meeting the Accounts, receipts, expenditure and Balance Sheet with Auditor’s report.

Governing Body

Under the Presidentship of Rt. Rev. Bishop, the Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Members of the Governing Body guide, Direct and Control the programmes of the Society and carryout other acts and deeds for realization of the objectives of the organization.
